So... not a fun post with pictures, but just some updates on the kiddos.
Anabelle is now sleeping in a "big girl daybed"! YAY ANABELLE! The first night that she slept in her new bed, we caught her stretched out and snoozing like crazy. She really is saying some hilarious things. "Ladies and Gentleman... Jack! Thank you and thank you, too." She said this while Jack was crawling through the door of a playhouse. He emerged grinning and the two timed it just right! I was in the foyer moving a desk, and I hear..."Look mommy, I am tight rope walking." WHAT??!! I turned around to see her climbing on the outside rail of the landing in the foyer of our house. I almost had a heart attack...

Jack...wow! Changing so fast it will make your head spin! On September 3rd, Jack started army crawling everywhere! He started using a sippy cup some, but is still perfecting using it. He got his second tooth about 2 weeks ago.

Yesterday, the 12th, he ate a vanilla wafer and a graham cracker at school! Granted he gummed them until they were soggy enough to swallow, but this was a big day for the little guy. He also loves shredded cheese and mashed potatoes. This boy is going to eat us out of house and home.

We lowered his crib after finding him peeking over the edge of the crib and grinning. He loves it! We played Peek A Boo the other night until he was wheezing laughing so hard we had to stop. Our house can be crazy, but it is a ton of fun.

Maybe next post I will announce that Anabelle is potty trained to go number 2...aahh how nice would that be? :)

School has started and the Beasley's are in full swing! Getting back into routine has been amazing for us. Anabelle loves her new school! She takes a lunch everyday and is amazed that she gets fruit snacks, string cheese and yogurt. She always tells me how excited she was that these things were in her lunch box. I just smile... I don't think she puts it together that I pack it for her.

When I did ask her if she would like a lunchable, she told me that she thought it was a great idea and that she knew she could count on me...

Jack is also doing well at the new school. He is so laid back, they said that he just looks at the other babies when they cry like they are crazy.

Some new things...

May 7th- Rolling everywhere!

August 6th- First tooth!! Bottom left
August14th- Started putting his own passy in!
August 15th- Holds his bottle with one hand to drink! (Still needed a little help, though:)
August 15th- Up on all 4's trying to crawl!
Jack is still a big guy, but is starting to thin up some and has really gotten taller.
I started work last week and so far love it. I think Josh kinda likes it, too, because office days are a little more quiet around our house.

This is from the weekend before- she was skinny dipping on the top step of the pool.

Sometimes I think we try to do too much. We are always going and going and going... Sometimes I don't even unpack bags- I just add more clean stuff and hope that I have what I need for the kids.

This weekend was no different. We went swimming Saturday, Beasley family reunion Sunday, and back to the pool on Monday. Anabelle went for 2 days without a nap, and she finally went inside while we were at the pool, curled up on the couch, and took a much needed 2+hour nap. Jack-let's just say that he caught his "cat naps" wherever we went.

Anabelle's Spring Program

Anabelle's Preschool had their Spring Program and Anabelle was old enough to participate this year. The theme was "Let's Get Physical", and the kids did a lot of singing and dancing. We sat in the middle of the church and tried to hide from her, because if she saw her parents or grandparents, it would be over. Needless to say, she really showed out. She danced and sang and had a ton of fun! Here are some pictures of during and after the program.

Bea and John John were sitting where she could see them, so this was their attempt to hide themselves.

This is really a "Simpson" look. I think he is looking more like my side of the family everyday.

I can't believe that Jack is almost 4 months! I feel like time is flying by.
Jack: You have discovered your hands and feet! You will spend a ton of time checking them out and shaking them. You love rice cereal and applesauce (mixed). You are such a big boy and I am afraid you are going to eat us out of house and home:) You smile all of the time, but you are not afraid to poke your bottom lip out when you are hungry or want attention. You are sleeping about 10 hours at night and napping great during the day. You still love your sister and are pretty fascinated with her. Right now you are wearing some 6 months and 9 months clothing.
I am thinking you will make a great football player...

Anabelle: Wow- you are a little chatter box! We have some of the most interesting conversations that are so funny! You have started using the potty and pretty much have it down pat. You are very independent and are very willing to help me around the house. I dread the day that you find out the tasks I ask you to help with are really chores. You let me know on a daily basis that you are "daddy's girl" and "daddy's princess." Don't worry- I totally understand. I was both of those when I was growing up. You tell everyone you are moving to Alabama, then finish it off with "Boo Bama, Bama stinks." This makes your daddy very proud. Your favoite songs right now are Baby Bumblebee, ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and the hokey Pokey. You have spotted us now when you come out for children's church, so Daddy and I have to hide in the pew now. You are fascinated with hang nails- I know it's strange, but you examine your fingers everyday to find one. You refer to your little brother as Jackaroo now, and you are very sweet and gentle towards him. I am amazed at your ability to put thoughts into words, and I love your expressions when you see something new- "oh WOW, mommy"...

She is going to kill me one day for posting this, but it was so cute...

So, not a very exciting post, but just a little updating on the kiddos.

Jack:

Jack weighed 14 pounds at his 3 month check up! He is such a big boy, and probably the most content baby I have ever been around. Fussing for Jack means a little bit of squirming and grunting. He has hit the "smiley" stage and is smiling and laughing at everything. He is very amused at Anabelle and follows her with his eyes everywhere around the room. He is really starting to hold his head up pretty well. He loves to be on his belly and does the "flying superman" now. He has been sleeping through the night for about a month and a half now. For that, Josh and I are very grateful! Of course he looks just like his daddy-

Anabelle:

Where do I start? This has to be one of the most fun stages of a child. Don't get me wrong, the 2's are tough, but are so much fun!

She is 3 feet tall- she takes after her mama in being the tallest child in her class. She probably won't appreciate it in elementary and middle school, but she will eventually.

Her vocabulary is great- talking in full sentences and her expressions and sayings are too funny. She often calls Josh and I by our nicknames and finds it hilarious. She does have a lisp that she will probably grow out of, but words like applesauce, spaghetti, and sid the sloth are really hilarious. She has started using the potty (with several accidents along the way), but I am so proud of her! She will tell me now wherever we are if she needs to go and she pretty much gets it everytime. Of course she gets M&M's, so that is even more reason for her to go. She loves Jack and likes to play mommy to him. I am not sure though how many diapers of his she has used on her baby doll.

Life with 2 children is really crazy busy, but wow- totally worth it. It is hard to remember life before Anabelle and Jack!
