So, not a very exciting post, but just a little updating on the kiddos.

Jack:

Jack weighed 14 pounds at his 3 month check up! He is such a big boy, and probably the most content baby I have ever been around. Fussing for Jack means a little bit of squirming and grunting. He has hit the "smiley" stage and is smiling and laughing at everything. He is very amused at Anabelle and follows her with his eyes everywhere around the room. He is really starting to hold his head up pretty well. He loves to be on his belly and does the "flying superman" now. He has been sleeping through the night for about a month and a half now. For that, Josh and I are very grateful! Of course he looks just like his daddy-

Anabelle:

Where do I start? This has to be one of the most fun stages of a child. Don't get me wrong, the 2's are tough, but are so much fun!

She is 3 feet tall- she takes after her mama in being the tallest child in her class. She probably won't appreciate it in elementary and middle school, but she will eventually.

Her vocabulary is great- talking in full sentences and her expressions and sayings are too funny. She often calls Josh and I by our nicknames and finds it hilarious. She does have a lisp that she will probably grow out of, but words like applesauce, spaghetti, and sid the sloth are really hilarious. She has started using the potty (with several accidents along the way), but I am so proud of her! She will tell me now wherever we are if she needs to go and she pretty much gets it everytime. Of course she gets M&M's, so that is even more reason for her to go. She loves Jack and likes to play mommy to him. I am not sure though how many diapers of his she has used on her baby doll.

Life with 2 children is really crazy busy, but wow- totally worth it. It is hard to remember life before Anabelle and Jack!

WOW! Jack is 2 months! The time has flown by! As I am typing this, Anabelle is on my back playing around, and Jack is laughing at her! She really is great entertainment!

We had to cancel Anabelle's birthday party due to an upper respiratory infection:(

She still had a big time with her grandparents, though.

Anabelle is a big sister!

What can I say? This just about sums up Anabelle right now!

Proud Big Sister

This expression looks a lot like my Daddy
Such a Big Boy!

Such big hands!
Jack is finally here!

Jack Robert Beasley
January 25th @ 1:17 pm.
9 lbs. 6 ozs.
We were induced on the 25th, about a week early. We have big babies (Anabelle was 9 lbs. 12 ozs.) and the doctor anticipated Jack being on the large side. Everything went well. My first epidural did not work, so I had to have a second one. After a small blood pressure and heart rate scare, we were on our way to a quick labor!
Our house is very different now, but Anabelle, Josh, Jack, and I are starting to fall into a routine. Anabelle is really starting to pay Jack some attention. At first, she was a little put out by him, but now she is starting to play Mommy to him. Other than her trying to put the Tinkerbell chair in the pack-n-play, she has been very sweet to him. I was beginning to think I was going to have to put a helmet on him just to protect him from flying objects coming into the pack-n-play.
Our parents have been great. Not only for helping with Jack, but for giving Anabelle the attention she needs. After all, she is a little girl and little girls are drama:)
Right now, Jack is doing really well adjusting to days/nights. He gets up around 2 in the morning and eats, then around 5 or 6 to eat again. I can't complain!
He is starting to have more awake time, and his expressions favor a little old man! In fact, Josh described him as a little old man when he was first born.
One of the best things about his expressions is that he has several that look like my Daddy-

Random Pictures

Here are some random pictures of Anabelle. This little girl is busy! She is always talking up a storm and is constantly on the go. I will say that she has great manners- "Thank you" for everything and "excuse you" if you do something wrong.

She is really into baby dolls. I think I have said it before, but if it is any indication of how she is going to treat Jack, Look out! The other night she did inform Josh and I that she wants a new baby. We told her to ask Santa, so now she continues to ask us then lets us know that she asked Santa Claus, too. When we say our prayers at night, she asks for a new baby and says Amen. If she only knew that she is getting the real thing in about a month and a half!

In the den with her baby doll.
This dresser was Josh's moms as a little girl. With a little TLC, it turned out great! Anabelle is so proud of her big girl furniture.

Josh and Anabelle reading in the den. The child loves books!! I just wish she wasn't in love with the same two books- Olivia and Zebra Stripes!

I have posted pictures of Anabelle not sleeping in her bed, but here is one of her actually sleeping in the bed. She really seems to like it. As you can see, there is a random assortment of stuffed animals that seem to always make it into the bed, too. She also sleeps with a blanket that my Mamaw made me when I was little.

Sleeping in Random Places...

The toddler bed has been going great. Yesterday when I went to get Anabelle up from her nap, I found her sitting in her chair. The chair was really warm, and she looked like she just woke up. I told Josh that if I didn't know better, she probably slept in her chair.

Well, this is how I found her when I went upstairs to go to bed.

Sorry for the poor quality- I never know when I need to take the big camera up.

Toddler Bed

So, I am officially nesting. We have rearranged furniture and moved things around- poor Josh. I know he hates it, but he has done so much!

I bought Anabelle a toddler bed and we put it up this weekend. Her crib is now in "Baby Jack's" room across the hall. When she saw her new bed and dresser last night, she went crazy! She jumped on it like it was a trampoline, and we started to worry that it may never be a bed to her.

She eventually laid down and let me read her some books. I finally left her to "sleep" and I hid in the bathroom to see how things would go. She cried at the doorway and then got really quiet. This is a scary moment, because you never know what curious little minds are up to. I crawled on all fours, peaked in the room, and she was face down on the bed trying to go to sleep.

I went downstairs and still silence. When Josh and I came upstairs, she was sacked out- with her head on the bed and the rest of her body on the floor! I laughed so hard I thought she would wake up. The pictures we took are with our cell phones, but maybe I can catch some with the big camera tonight. Proud to say that she slept the whole night in her bed like a big girl!
